Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp with Dipping Sauce
Appetizer & Snack Recipes from AlansKitchen.comMakes 12 servings (2 shrimp and 1-1/2 tablespoons sauce each)

Cooking Time: 20 min.

Ingredients

  • 12 - slices bacon
  • 24 - jumbo shrimp, (about 3 pounds), peeled, deveined
  • 1 - Tablespoon margarine
  • 2 - cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 - cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1/3 - cup steak sauce
  • 1/4 - teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Directions

Preheat large skillet over medium-high heat.

  1. Add 4 bacon slices and cook 3 minutes, or just until partially cooked. Drain. Repeat with remaining bacon.
  2. Cut each bacon slice in half.
  3. Wrap 1 bacon piece around each shrimp; secure with wooden pick. Return to same skillet.
  4. Cook 8 minutes, or until shrimp turn pink and bacon is crisp, turning after 4 minutes.
  5. Place margarine and garlic in small saucepan.
  6. Cook over medium heat 15 seconds, stirring constantly.
  7. Add tomato sauce, steak sauce and hot pepper sauce. Mix well.
  8. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. Serve warm with the shrimp.
