Smoky Maple-Barbecued Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 - fresh boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 1/4 - cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 - cup barbecue sauce (your choice)
  • 2 - Tablespoon mustard
  • 1/4 - teaspoon liquid smoke

Directions

Preheat grill to medium-high, according to manufacturer’s directions.

  1. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. 
  2. In a small bowl, add maple syrup, barbecue sauce, mustard and liquid smoke. 
  3. Mix and set aside.
  4. Grill chicken for 12 to 15 minutes or until done (internal temp 170° F). 
  5. Turn frequently and brush with sauce.

Picnicking & Tailgating

Place in ice chest.  When the grill is ready, just take them out of the ice chest and grill.
