Peppercorn & Herb Rub

Barbecue & Grilling Recipes from AlansKitchen.comMakes enough rub for 2 to 2-1/2 pounds of meat

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a small cup, combine paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, onion powder, ground peppercorns, thyme, oregano, and salt.  
  2. Just before rubbing on meats, add the lemon zest.  Brush both sides of food with vegetable or olive oil.  
  3. Rub in Peppercorn and Herb Rub.  Wrap in plastic wrap and put in refrigerator for 30 minutes to 2 hours before grilling.

Picnicking & Tailgating

I would put the rub on the meat before taking to the picnic or tailgate location.
