Ingredients
- 2 - quarts apple cider

1/3 - cup firmly packed brown sugar

8 - whole allspice

8 - whole cloves
-
3 - cinnamon sticks

2 - thin slices gingerroot

1 - orange
-
2 - Tablespoon raisins
Directions
- Pour cider into a 3 to 4 quart non-reactive pan.

Next, stir in the brown sugar.
- Into a 12-inch square cheesecloth, place
allspice, clove, cinnamon sticks and ginger root.
- Bring corners together and
tie; drop spice bag into cider.
- Bring to a simmer.
- Cover and simmer 20
minutes.
- Discard spice bag.
- Cut orange in half lengthwise, then cut crosswise to
make 1/8 – inch thick half slices (discard ends).
- On bamboo skewers,
thread lengthwise 1 orange slice; skewer 4 or 5 raisins below orange slice.
Ladle hot cider into mugs or cup and place a skewer of fruit in each.
