Aunt Kay’s Southern
Iced Tea
Makes 1 Gallon

Ingredients

6 - cup water
4 - family size tea bags
1-1/2 - cups sugar
1 - lemon, sliced

Directions

• In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. 
• Next, add the tea bags. 
• Continue to boil for 1 minute and then remove from heat. 
• Cover and let steep 10 minutes. 
• Remove tea bags and gently squeeze the tea from the bags. 
• Add the sugar and stir to dissolve the sugar.
• Add the lemon to the bottom of 1-gallon pitcher and then pour in the brewed tea. 
• Add cold water to fill pitcher.
