Carolyn's Angel Biscuits

Ingredients:
- 1 - package dry yeast
- 1/4 - cup warm water
- 2-1/2 - cups all-purpose flour
- 1 - teaspoon baking powder
- 1 - teaspoon salt
- 1/4 - cup sugar
- 1/2 - cup shortening
- 1 - cup buttermilk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400° F.
- In a small bowl, you want to dissolve yeast in
1/2 - cup warm water. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder,
salt, and sugar. Stir in shortening.
- Stir in buttermilk and yeast. Blend
thoroughly.
- Turn on cutting board and kneed lightly.
- Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter.
- Place on cookie sheet. Let biscuits rise
for 5 minutes.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until light brown.
