Santa Fe Breakfast Casserole
Santa Fe Breakfast CasseroleMakes 6 to 8 servings

Prep Time: 15 min.
Refrigerate Time: 6 hrs.
Baking Time: 1 hr.

Ingredients

  • 6 - slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 2 - Tablespoon butter
  • 1 - package (19 ounces) Pork Skillets Southwest Flavor
  • 1/2 - cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 - cup Monterey Jack, shredded
  • 1 - can (4 ounces) of green chilies, coarse chopped
  • 2 - cups milk
  • 2 - teaspoon oregano
  • 1 - teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 - teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 - teaspoon dry mustard
  • 6 - eggs, well beaten

Directions

Butter 3 quart Casserole dish.

  1. Place bread slices along the bottom of casserole dish, sides touching.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over bread slices.
  3. Cover and refrigerate 6 hours (up to overnight).

Preheat oven to 350.

  1. Uncover and bake 50-60 minutes.
  2. Let stand 15 minutes prior to serving.
