pound lean pork, ground

pound ground beef

yellow onions, chopped

cloves garlic, chopped

tablespoon whole cumin
seeds

powder

bay leaves

teaspoons cinnamon

teaspoons allspice

teaspoons Tabasco

tablespoon cocoa
powder

tablespoons Worcestershire
sauce

tablespoons vinegar

can (28-ounces) tomatoes,
pureed

tablespoon oregano

Directions
- Heat stockpot
to medium heat and add the butter.
- Sauté pork, ground beef, onions, cumin
seeds, chili powder, and bay leaves until the meat is just browned and
the onions are clear.
- Drain and discard fat.
- Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer
for 1-1/2 hours.

can make the chili a day or two ahead of time.
Heat (on stove or in microwave) and pour into a thermos.
When you get to your picnic and tailgate party, it is nice and hot.
