Sniderís Chocolate Fudge

Makes 5 pounds of FudgeCountry Roads Barn

Ingredients:

  • 4 1/2 - ounces granulated sugar

  • 1 - large can evaporated milk

  • 3 - bars (5 ounces) plain Hershey bars

  • 2 - packages (6 ounces) chocolate chips

  • 1 - jar (8 ounces) marshmallow cream

  • 1 - teaspoon salt

  • 1 - cup nuts

  • 1 - teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

  1. Bring sugar and milk to boiling point, then cook over medium heat for 4 1/2 minutes. Stir occasionally. Break chocolate bars.

  2. In a large bowl, add chips, marshmallow cream and salt. Pour hot milk and sugar mixture half at a time, ,mixing thoroughly after each addition.

  3. Let stand until cool, add vanilla and nuts and pour into a large pan. Cool in the refrigerator and cut into pieces.
