Cowboy Cooking Recipes from AlansKitchen.comIngredients:

  • 1 - pound raisins or cranberries
  • 1/2 - pound figs or dried apricots
  • 1/2 - pound pitted dates
  • 1 - cup pitted prunes
  • 1 - orange (juice and grated rind)
  • Chocolate (melted), optional
  • Powdered sugar, optional

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, chop raisins, figs or apricots, dates and prunes. Blend in oranges juice and rind).
  2. Shape into 1-inch balls or press into pan to be later cut into bars.
  3. Allow to stand for 24 hours to set before eating.
  4. Balls can be dipped into melted chocolate or rolled in powdered sugar.
