Colt .45 Coffee Cake
Makes 4 to 6

Ingredients
- 1-1/2 - cup all-purpose flour

1/2 - cup buckwheat flour

4 - teaspoon baking powder

3 - Tablespoon sugar

1/2 - teaspoon salt

1 - egg, lightly beaten

1 - cup milk
-
1/4 - cup butter, melted

1/4 - cup sugar
-
1 - Tablespoon ground cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease an 8-in. square-baking pan.
- Into a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and
salt into a large bowl.
- To the flour mixture, add the egg and milk.
- Mix to a soft dough.
-
With a kitchen spoon, spread the dough evenly in
the baking pan.
- Brush top with melted butter.
- In to small bowl, add the 1/4-cup sugar
and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the top of the coffee cake.
- Put into the oven and bake for 25 minutes or until done.
- To test for
doneness, insert a wooden pick into the center.
- You want it to come out
clean.
- Serve warm.
