Sourdough Biscuits
Makes about 2 dozen biscuits.
Ingredients
2 - cups all-purpose flour
1 - Tablespoon sugar
1 - Tablespoon baking powder
3/4 - teaspoon salt
2 - cups sourdough starter
2 to 3 - Tablespoons softened butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 400° F.
- Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into large bowl; pour in
starter.
- Mix to make a firm dough.
- Grease 12-inch iron skillet with butter.
- Pinch off balls the size of
walnuts.
- Place in skillet.
- Set biscuits in warm place and let rise 10 - 15 minutes.
- Bake for 24 -
30 minutes.
