C Bar Caramel Crunch Cookies
32 - caramels
1/2 - cup heavy cream
1/2 - teaspoon baking soda
1-1/2 - cups rolled oats
2/3 - cups packed
light brown sugar
3/4 - cup unsalted butter, (room
1 - cup chopped pecans
1 - package (12-oz.)
Preheat oven to 350-degrees F.
1) In a
small saucepan, melt caramels in heavy cream. Allow to cool
2) Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Stir in oats and brown sugar. Mix in butter.
mixture evenly into a greased 9x12-inch pan. Cover bottom.
Sprinkle with pecans. Pour melted caramels to cover entire
surface. Bake for 20 minutes. Place on a rack.
Immediately sprinkle surface with chocolate chips. Allow chips
to melt 2 to 3 minutes.
5) Swirl slightly to cover entire
surface as frosting and to create a marble effect. Allow to cool
completely before cutting in squares.
