Alamo Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredients:

• 1 - cup white corn syrup
• 1 - cup dark brown sugar, packed
• 1/3 - cup butter, melted
• 1-1/4 - cup pecans, shelled
• 3 - eggs
• 1 - teaspoon vanilla
• 1/4 - teaspoon salt
• 1 - unbaked 9-inch pie shell
• whipped cream (optional)
• ice cream (optional)

Directions:

1. In a medium mixing bowl, add the corn syrup, brown sugar, butter, pecans, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Mix well. 
2. Pour into pie shell and put in oven to bake 45 to 50 minutes. 
3. Cool and top with whipped cream or ice cream.
