Chocolate Mint Brownie Bars

Ingredients

  • 2/3 - cup butter or margarine
  • 1-2/3 - cups (10-ounces package) Hershey's Mint Chocolate Chips, divided
  • 1-1/2 - cups sugar
  • 1 - cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 - cup Hershey's Cocoa
  • 1 - teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 - teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 - teaspoon salt
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 - cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F. and grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

  1. Place butter and 1 cup mint chocolate chips in large microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave at HIGH (100%) 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or until chips are melted when stirred.
  3. Add sugar, flour, cocoa, vanilla, baking powder, salt and eggs; stir with spoon until smooth.
  4. Stir in remaining 2/3 cup chips.
  5. Spread batter into prepared pan and sprinkle walnuts over top.
  6. Bake 30 minutes or until center is set.
  7. Cool completely in pan on wire rack and cut into bars.
