Walnut Bars

Try one of these versatile and delicious walnut bars
for a quick energy boost, a brown-bag treat, an after-school snack or
anytime!

Preheat
oven to 350ºF.

First,
you want to crush the cereal.

In
a large mixing
bowl, add your sugars, butter, vanilla and eggs.
Mix.

Next,
Stir in flour, cereal, 3/4-cup oats, the baking soda, baking powder
and salt.

Stir
in 3/4-cup of the walnuts and 2/3-cup of the chocolate chips.

You
want to spread the batter in ungreased rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.

Sprinkle
with remaining 1/4-cup walnuts, remaining 1/3-cup chocolate chips and
2 tablespoons oats.

Bake
in oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Cool
completely, about 1 hour.

For
24 bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
