Bird-In-Hand Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 – cup butter

• 3 – cups dark brown sugar

• 1 – egg

• 3 – cups oatmeal (uncooked)

• 1/8 – teaspoon salt

• 1 – Tablespoon vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven to 325° F.

1. In a saucepan, melt butter and mix with sugar.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine oatmeal, salt, and vanilla.  
3. Blend in melted butter and sugar mixture. 
4. Beat until batter is smooth.
5. Using a teaspoon, drop batter onto buttered cooked sheet and bake about 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
