Applesauce Spice Cake

Ingredients:

•    1  package (9 oz.) Golden Yellow Cake Mix
• 3/4  teaspoon baking powder
• 1/8  teaspoon cloves
• 1/2  teaspoon cinnamon
•        dash nutmeg
•    1  egg
• 1/2  cup applesauce
• 1/4  cup water

Cooking Directions:

Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Grease and flour 8" square pan.

1. In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, baking powder, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Blend well.

2. Add egg, applesauce and 1/8 cup of water.

3. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes.

4. Add remaining water and beat an additional 2 minutes.

5. Pour batter into prepared pan.

6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.
