Apple Nut Coffee Cake

Ingredients:
- Cake Ingredients:
- 2 - cups all-purpose flour
- 1 - cup sugar
- 1/2 - cup sour cream
- 1/2 - cup butter, softened
- 1/4 - cup milk
- 2 - eggs
- 1 - teaspoon baking powder
- 1 - teaspoon baking soda
- 1 - teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 - teaspoon salt
- 2 - medium (2 cups) cooking apples,
peeled, chopped
- Topping Ingredients:
- 1/2 - cup chopped walnuts or
pecans
- 1/2 - cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 - Tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 - teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9-inch
baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine all-purpose
flour, sugar, sour cream, butter, milk, eggs, baking powder,
baking soda, vanilla, and salt.
- Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl
often, until smooth. Gently stir in apples.
- Spread batter into greased 13x9-inch
baking pan.
- In a small bowl, combine walnuts or
pecans, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over
batter.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until
toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
