Almond Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cookie Recipes from Alan' s KitchenMakes about 5 dozen

Ingredients

Directions

I preheat my oven to 375° F.

  1. In a large mixing bowl, I sift my flour, coca, baking soda and salt.

  2. In a mixer at medium speed, I beat in the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until mixture become creamy.

  3. Next, I add the eggs and continue to beat until well.

  4. Then I gradually add in the flour mixture and continue to beat until well.

  5. Next step is to add in the chocolate.  I just mix until mixed through the batter.

  6. Then I mix in the almonds and mix until mixed through the batter.

  7. Using a teaspoon, I make a round spoonful of dough and drop onto ungreased cookie sheets.  I want the dough around 2 inches apart.

  8. I pop the cookie sheets into the oven and bake for 8 minutes or until set.  I allow them to cool about a minute before removing from cookie sheet.

  9. Finally, I remove from cookie sheets and allow them to cool on a wired rack.
