Alan’s Easy Chocolate Fudge
Makes
about 2 pounds (32 to 40 pieces):
Prep Time: 10 min.
Cook Time: 5 min.
Chill Time: 2 hrs.
Ingredients:
- 3 - cups (18 ounces) semi-sweet
chocolate chips
- 1 - can (14-ounce) Sweetened
Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
- Dash salt
- 1/2 to 1 - cup chopped nuts
(optional)
- 1-1/2 - teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions:
- In heavy saucepan, over low heat,
melt chocolate chips with condensed milk and salt.
- Remove from heat and stir in nuts
(optional) and vanilla.
- Spread evenly into wax paper lined
8- or 9-inch square pan.
- Chill for 2 hours or until firm.
- Turn fudge onto cutting board.
Peel off paper and cut into 2-inch squares.
- Store covered in refrigerator.
Microwave:
- In 1-quart glass measure, combine
chocolate chips with condensed milk and salt.
- Cook on HIGH (100% power) 3
minutes or until chips melt. You want to stir after 1 1/2
minutes.
- Stir in nuts and vanilla extract.
- Proceed as above.
