Classic Fudge

Makes 24 pieces: Budget $mart $0.87 per serving*

Fudge Recipes from AlansKitchen.comIngredients:

  • 2 - cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 - ounces (1/2 baking bar) bittersweet chocolate baking bar, cut into 1/2" pieces
  • 1 - can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2-1/2 - teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 - cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:

Line an 8-inch square baking pan with waxed paper.

  1. Place chocolate chips, bittersweet chocolate and the sweetened condensed milk in a double boiler over hot, but not boiling water. 
  2. Stir the mixture occasionally until the chocolate has melted. 
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and nuts. 
  4. Spread fudge evenly in prepared baking pan. 
  5. Refrigerate for 2 hours, or until firm. 
  6. Cut when cool and firm. 
  7. Store uncovered in the refrigerator.
