Fudge Recipes from AlansKitchen.comYummy Chocolate - Walnut Fudge
Makes 20 squares

Ingredients

Directions

  1. With a nonstick spray, I lightly spray my 9x9x2-inch square pan.

  2. In a large bowl, I sift together the sugar and cocoa.  Then I fold in the 1-cup of walnuts, and reserve a half-cup for the topping.

  3. In a medium saucepan, I add the butter and cheese.  At low heat, I melt the cheese and butter.  When I melt the butter mixture, I add the vanilla extract.

  4. Then I pour the butter mixture into the sugar mixture.  I mix the ingredients until they well mixed, but not overworked.

  5. Then I pour the fudge into the pan and spread firmly in pan.  Because of the butter, I take two paper towels and remove any excess oil.  Then I sprinkle the reserved walnuts over the top.

  6. Then I place in refrigerator for 2 hours or until firm.  Then I remove from pan and cut into squares.

  7. This fudge can be frozen.
