Directions
- In a 2-quart saucepan, add the
sugar and water. Over medium-high heat, bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer
until sugar dissolves, about 3 - 4 minutes.
- Stir occasionally. Cool
completely*.
- When cool, add grapefruit juice
and zest; stir to combine.
- Pour into the freezer bowl of
your ice cream maker.
Freeze according to manufacturer's
directions.
- Freeze until slushy, about 25 -
30 minutes.
- Transfer to an airtight
container and place in freezer until firm, about 2 hours.
