Easy and
Simple French Apple
Pie
Makes 6 servings.
3 - cups sliced peeled all-purpose apples
1 - teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 - teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 - cup Original Bisquick® mix
1/2 - cup sugar
1/2 - cup milk
1 - Tablespoon butter, softened
2 eggs
Streusel
1/2 - cup Original Bisquick® mix
1/4 - cup chopped nuts
1/4 - cup packed brown sugar
2 - Tablespoons butter (firm)
Preheat oven to 325º F. Grease 9-inch pie plate.
- In a medium-mixing bowl, add the apples, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Stir to mix.
- Pour into pie plate.
- In a medium mixing bowl, add the
Bisquick, sugar, milk, butter, and eggs.
- Stir until blended.
- Pour
into pie plate.
Streusel
- In a small mixing bowl, add the 1/2-cup Bisquick, nuts, brown
sugar, and butter.
- Stir together until crumbly.
- Sprinkle pie with Streusel.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until knife
inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 5 minutes.
High Altitude ( above 3500 ft): Heat oven to 375º F.
