Orange Pecan Pie
Makes 8 servings

Ingredients

1 - package (15-ounce) refrigerated pie crusts, softened as directed on package
1/3 - cup firmly packed brown sugar
1-1/2 - teaspoons all-purpose flour
1-1/4 - cups light corn syrup
1-1/4 - teaspoons vanilla
1/2 - teaspoon orange peel, grated
3 - eggs
1-1/2 - cups pecan halves or broken pecans
2 - Tablespoons butter, melted
candied orange peel, chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 425F. Prepare pie crust as directed on package for one-crust pie using 9-inch pie pan.

  • In large bowl, add brown sugar, flour, corn syrup, vanilla and eggs. 
  • Beat well. 
  • Then stir in pecans and butter. 
  • Finally, pour filling into crust-lined pan.
  • Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until filling is puffed and pie is golden brown. 
  • Garnish with candied orange peel. 
  • Allow to cool 2 hours or until completely cooled.
