Deviled Crabmeat
Makes 6
servings
Ingredients:

1 - pound crabmeat
-
1/4 - cup green peppers, chopped
-
1/4 - cup onion, chopped
-
4 - Tablespoons butter, soft
-
2 - Tablespoons all-purpose flour
-
1/2 - cup milk
-
1 - hard-boiled egg, chopped
-
1/2 - teaspoon salt
-
1/4 - teaspoon pepper
-
1/2 - teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
-
1/4 - teaspoon paprika

bread crumbs
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350° F.

Remove all pieces of shell from
crabmeat.

Into a frying pan, add 2 tablespoons butter.

Sauté pepper
and onion until tender.

Remove from pan.
-
Into frying pan at
medium heat, add the remaining butter and flour.
-
Next, stir in the milk to make a smooth paste.
-
Simmer and
stir until mixture thickens.
-
Add the sautéed pepper and onion
back into the pan.
-
Then add the crabmeat, egg, salt, pepper, and
Worcestershire sauce.
-
Use 6 crab shells and fill with crab mixture, sprinkling
crumbs and paprika over the tops.

Pop into oven and bake for 20
to 25 minutes or until nicely browned.
