Angel Hair Spaghetti with Vegetables & Ham

Ingredients:

  • 8 - ounces uncooked dried angel hair pasta (capellini)
  • 1 - package (16-ounce) frozen vegetable combination (broccoli, carrots and cauliflower)
  • 2 - Tablespoons Margarine
  • 1 - teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
  • 2 - Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1-1/4 - cups milk
  • 1 - teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/2 - teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 - teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1 - cup Light Sour Cream
  • 8 - ounces cooked ham, cut into julienne strips
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and keep warm.

  1. Meanwhile, you want to cook vegetables according to package directions and drain.
  2. In a 2-quart saucepan, you will melt margarine and then add garlic.
  3. Cook for 1 minute over medium-low heat.
  4. Stir in flour and continue cooking for 1 minute or until smooth and bubbly.
  5. Stir in milk, sour cream, bouillon granules, dry mustard and basil with wire whisk.
  6. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for 4 to 6 minutes or until sauce is thickened.
  7. Stir in sour cream; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for 2 to 3 minutes or until heated through
  8. Remove from heat. You will stir in ham and vegetables.
  9. Serve over hot cooked pasta. 
  10. If you want to, serve with Parmesan cheese.
