Spaghetti
with Butter
Makes 6 servings.
Ingredients
4
- quarts water, boiling
1

teaspoon salt
1
- pound spaghetti

tablespoons butter
2/3
- cup parmesan
cheese, grated
Directions

In a large pot,
have the water at rolling boil. Add the salt.

Put spaghetti in
whole; it will sink slowly into the water.

When it is almost down,
give it a good while in the water to make sure all the strands are
separated.

Cook 15 minutes and stir again. Then test for doneness.

Drain spaghetti in
colander and run cold water through spaghetti briefly. Drain again and
return to pot.

Put over low heat to evaporate any remaining water.

Add the butter and Parmesan
cheese and toss.
Picnicking &
Tailgating
Cook the spaghetti just before leaving and store in another heated thermal container.
When
at the picnic site, serve the spaghetti with butter.
