The White Barn
Inn has a rustic decor, barn-like with very high
ceilings. The local paintings on the walls are very pretty. You
NEED a jacket. Our hotel concierge made our reservation and never
told us. The White Barn Inn was very helpful as the man at the
front door greeted us and gave me a very comfortable blue blazer.
We arrived early for
drinks and Drew was very accommodating. The blueberry bourbon
drink was very stiff! The strawberry cocktail was delightfully
zesty and refreshing. The Bloody Mary was excellent. The servers
and attendants were all very, very polite and warm. It is a formal
atmosphere with silver, linens, and bird sculptures on every
We had wonderful amusee before we started
with monkfish and fresh vegetables. The lobster bisque was
wonderful, delicious with plenty of lobster. The yellow fin tuna
tartare with cucumbers was exquisite!
The presentation of the
lobster over linguine was artful and amazing. There were also
wonderful julienne vegetables. It contained the equivalent meat of
a 1.5-2 pound lobster. The duck with dark tomato sauce was cooked
just right and was exquisitely tender and delicious.
The wine list is extensive
and surely will have a choice for all who visit. Again the service
was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout!
We finished with homemade
doughnuts and fresh blueberry sauce and gelato. Finally a
beautiful collection of petit fours on an amazing silver service.
Truly a wonderful
experience, gracious service, great food, beautiful atmosphere
with a pianist playing all night.
