Mildred's Whole Wheat Bread

4 loaves
Prep Time: 30 min
Rising Time: 1 hr + 1 hr
Ingredients:
- 2 packages dry yeast
- 4 cups warm water
- 1/2 cup soft margarine or butter
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 6 cups whole wheat flour
- 4 cups white flour
Directions.
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- In a large bowl, combine margarine, molasses, honey , and
salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour.
- Turn onto floured surface and knead until smooth.
- Place in greased bowl and let rise until double.
- Punch down. Let dough rest a few minutes.
- Divide dough and shape into 4 loaves.
- Place in greased bread pans.
- Let rise about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375° F.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
