Bran Muffins

Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking from AlansKitchen.comMakes 20 muffins

Prep Time: 10 min
Baking Time: 30 min

Ingredients:

  • 1      teaspoon baking soda
  • 1-1/2  cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1      teaspoon salt
  • 2      cups buttermilk
  • 2      cups bran
  • 1/2   cup brown sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 F. and grease muffin pans.

  1. In a large mixing bowl, sift together baking soda, flour, and salt. 

  2. Slowly add in the bran and brown sugar. 

  3. Pour batter into muffin pans and bake for 30 minutes.
