Ingredients:

Directions:

Preheat oven to 450 F. and grease baking sheet.

1)  In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt, 3 or 4 times.  Work in the shortening with the fingertips. 

2)  Gradually add the milk.  Dough should be a soft paste. 

3)  On a floured board, lightly roll out to 3/4-inch thickness.  Cut dough with a biscuit cutter or a drinking glass. 

4)  Place on a greased baking sheet about a 1-inch apart.  Place in oven and bake for 12 minutes.
