Ingredients:
- 2 - cups all-purpose flour, sifted

3 - teaspoons baking powder

1/2 - teaspoon salt

2 - Tablespoons shortening

3/4 - cup milk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450° F. and grease baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and
salt – 3 or 4 times.
- Work in the shortening with the fingertips.

Gradually add the milk.
- Dough should be a soft paste.
- On a floured
board, lightly roll out to 3/4-inch thickness.
- Cut dough with a
biscuit cutter or a drinking glass.
- Place on a greased baking sheet
about a 1-inch apart.
- Bake for 12 minutes.
