- 2 - cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 2-1/2 - teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 - teaspoon salt
- 2 - Tablespoons butter
- 1 - cup milk
Preheat oven to 450° F.
Grease baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, sift together the
flour, baking powder, and salt - 3 or 4 times. Cut in the butter
and gradually add the milk.
The dough should be pasty consistency.
Turn out on a floured board and roll to a 3/4-inch thickness.
When baked and still hot, split
the cake in half and butter.
in a greased pan and bake 20 minutes.
Spread with strawberries, or whatever
fruits you prefer. Top with second half of the cake, butter this,
and spread more berries or fruit.
Top with whole berries or fruit.
