Cream Sponge Cake
Makes 1 cake.
- 2 - cups sugar
- 1-1/2 - cups flour
- 2 - teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 - teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs, broken into a cup
- Cream to fill cup
- 1/2 - teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 - teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 375° F. Grease & flour small loaf pan.
Sift sugar 3 times. Sift flour 3 times. Resift flour with baking
powder and salt.
Mix sugar with eggs and cream. Add flour and blend
thoroughly. Add flavoring. Beat well.
Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake for about 30 minutes.
