Jelly Roll Cake
- 3 - eggs
- 1 - cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 - Tablespoons ice water
- 1 - heaping cup flour, sifted
- 1 - teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 - teaspoon salt
- Grape Jelly
- Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 400° F. Grease
& flour long shallow baking pan.
In your mixing bowl, stir egg yolks
lightly, add sugar. Stir until creamy. Add ice water and blend.
flour and baking powder several times, sift into bowl and stir. Fold
in stiffly beaten egg whites with salt.
Bake for 15 minutes. Turn out on
damp cloth and spread with grape jelly.
Spread batter over long
shallow baking pan.
Roll up while warm. When
cool, dust with powdered sugar.
