Moravian Cream Cake

  • 4 - eggs, beaten separately
  • 1 - cup sugar
  • 1/2 - cup cream
  • 1 - heaping cup flour, sifted
  • 2 - teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 - teaspoon salt
  • 1 - teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease & flour loaf pan.

  1. Combine beaten egg yolks with sugar, add cream, and blend.  Sift flour 4 times, resift with baking powder and salt into the bowl, and mix. 

  2. Beat egg whites stiffly with salt, fold into batter with vanilla.  Bake for about 30 minutes.
