Taffy Chips

Ingredients:

• 1 - cup molasses
• 1 - cup sugar
• 2 - Tablespoons vinegar
• 2 - Tablespoons butter
• 1-1/2 - teaspoons vanilla
• 4 - ounces chocolate

Directions:

1. Boil molasses, sugar, vinegar, and butter slowly until mixture hardens when tested in cold water. 
2. Stir gently as syrup thickens. 
3. Add vanilla, pour on a buttered plate, and cool. 
4. Cut in 1-inch squares. 
5. When cool melt chocolate over warm water and dip the pieces in it. 
6. Cool on waxed paper.
