Butter Taffy
Ingredients:

1-1/2 - cups light brown sugar

3 - Tablespoons molasses

1-1/2 - Tablespoons vinegar

1/4 - teaspoon salt

1-1/2 - Tablespoons hot water

3 - Tablespoons butter

1 - teaspoon vanilla
Directions:

Mix sugar, molasses, vinegar, salt, and hot water, put on
stove and bring slowly to a boil. Simmer until candy is brittle when tested in cold
water.

Add butter, cook one minute longer. Remove from
stove, add vanilla.

Pour into buttered pans. Cool and mark in squares.
