Makes about 160 cookies
- 1-1/2 - cups shortening
- 2 - cups brown sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 5 - cups flour
- 1 - teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 - teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 - teaspoon salt
- 1 - cup chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 325° F. Grease cookie
Cream butter and sugar, stir in
Sift in flour, cinnamon, soda, and salt and beat well.
Dredge nuts in a little flour and fold in.
Shape into 4 rolls,
wrap in waxed paper, and chill in refrigerator overnight.
Next day slice rather thin and place on cookie sheets.
Bake for about 20 minutes.
