IngredientsPennsylvania Dutch Cooking from AlansKitchen.com

  • 1 - Tablespoon butter
  • 1 - Tablespoon lard
  • 1 - diced onion
  • 2 - cups ground beef or pork
  • 1 - can beans in tomato sauce
  • 3 - tablespoons vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Cayenne pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Melt butter and lard in heated frying pan.  In a mixing bowl, add onion, beef or pork, beans, vinegar, salt and cayenne pepper. 

  2. Toss and into frying pan.  Fry lightly. 

  3. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.  Serve with catsup or chile sauce.
