Trifles

  • 2 - eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • Flour to make paste
  • Vanilla and almond flavoring, mixed
  • Fat
  • Powdered sugar
  • Jelly

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add eggs, salt and flour to make a paste.  Mix, roll out lightly on floured board, shape with biscuit cutter. 

  2. Fry quickly in deep fat, sift the powdered sugar on the trifles while still hot.  When cool, drop a spoonful of jelly into the centers. 

  3. With currant jelly, these are good served with roast duck, or they can be eaten as dessert.
