STUFFED PORK CHOPS

Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking from AlansKitchen.comMakes 6 servings

Ingredients:

  • Pork Ingredients:

    • 6 - pork chops

    • 1/4 - cup water

  • Dressing

    • 1 - cup bread crumbs

    • 1/4 - cup onions, chopped

    • 1 - Tablespoon parsley, minced

    • 1/4 - cup milk

    • 1/8 - teaspoon summer savory

    • 1/4 - teaspoon salt

    • 1/8 - teaspoon pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350� F.

  1. With a sharp knife, cut pockets in sides of chops.

  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the bread crumbs, onions, parsley, milk, summer savory, salt, and pepper. 

  3. Fill the pockets and sew.

  4. In a skillet at moderate heat, add oil and sear chops on both sides. 

  5. Add water, cover and place in oven for 45 to 60 minutes.
