Apple Cranberry Crumb Pie

Makes 1 (9-inch) piePennsylvania Dutch Cooking from AlansKitchen.com

Prep Time: 15 min
Baking Time: 1 hr

Ingredients:

  • 5        cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1        cup cranberries
  • 3/4     cup sugar
  • 1/4     cup flour
  • 1-1/2  teaspoon orange peel
  • 1/4     cup quick cooking tapioca
  • 1        unbaked (9-inch) shell
  • 3        Tablespoons water

Crumb Topping

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 F.

  • In a bowl, combine apples, cranberries, sugar, 1/4-cup flour, orange peel, and tapioca.  Pour into pie shell and sprinkle with water.

  • In a bowl, mix butter or margarine, brown sugar, and 1-cup flour.

  • Cover topping over apples.  Bake for 1 hour.
