Creamed Chicken

Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking from AlansKitchen.comMakes 4 to 6 servings

Prep Time: 15 min
Cooking Time: 20 min

Ingredients:

  •    2  Tablespoons butter
  •    2  Tablespoon flour
  • 1/2  teaspoon salt
  • 1/8  teaspoon pepper
  •    1  teaspoon minced celery leaves
  •    1  cup milk
  •    1  cup chicken broth
  •    2  cups cooked, diced chicken

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter. Next, add flour, salt, pepper, and celery leaves. Stir until smooth.

  2. Add milk and chicken broth.

  3. Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

  4. Add chicken and heat thoroughly.
