Mushroom Filling

  • 1 - loaf stale bread, diced
  • 1/2 - cup milk
  • 1 - cup butter, melted
  • 1 - teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 - teaspoon pepper
  • 3 - cups mushrooms
  • 3 - Tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 - teaspoon nutmeg

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, begin with the bread and mix the butter and milk.  Add the salt and pepper. 

  2. In a sauté pan at moderate heat, add the butter and sauté mushroom.  Sprinkle the nutmeg on the sautéed mushrooms. 

  3. Add the mushrooms to the bread mixture.
