Oyster Filling

  • 1 - liquor from 1-quart oysters
  • 1 - loaf stale bread, crumbled
  • 1 - cup butter, melted
  • 1 - teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 - teaspoon pepper
  • 1 - egg, beaten
  • 1/4 - cup milk
  • 1 - quart oysters

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, pour in the liquor from oysters and heat and skimmed.  In a large mixing bowl, add the bread and pour the oyster liquor over the bread to moisten. 

  2. Add in the butter, salt, pepper, egg.  Mix together, and if filling is too dry add milk. Lastly, add the oysters. 

  3. Be careful with the oysters and do not break.
