Bird's-Eye Sauce

Ingredients:
- 1/2 - head cabbage, coarsely chopped
- 1 - quart green tomatoes, coarsely chopped
- 2 - onions, coarsely chopped
- 1 - teaspoon celery seed
- 1 - teaspoon mustard seed
- 1 - cup sugar
- 1-1/2 - Tablespoons salt
- 2 - cups apple cider vinegar
- 1 - cup water
- 1/2 - teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 - teaspoon cloves
Directions:
- In a kettle at moderate heat, place the cabbage, tomatoes, and
onions.
- Add the vinegar, water, ginger and cloves. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes or until mixture is
well cooked and thickened.
- Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
