Red Cabbage
Makes
6 to 8 servings

Cooking Time: 30 min
Ingredients:
- 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 small heads red cabbage, thinly sliced
- 3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 onion
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 cups water
Directions:
- In a deep skillet at moderate heat, add the
vegetable oil and toss in the cabbage.
- Add the vinegar (this helps to keep the color)
and salt. Gently stir.
- Take the onion and stick it with the cloves.
- Bury the onion in the cabbage.
- Add water to cover (add more if necessary).
- Cover the skillet, reduce heat to low and simmer
for 25 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
