Camp Verde is a town in Yavapai County,
Arizona, United States. According to 2006 Census Bureau estimates,
the population of the town is 10,610.
The town is located along the I-17 freeway,
and as a result most of the local economy involves service stations,
restaurants, hotels, and the like. Nearby tourist attractions
include Montezuma Castle National Monument and Fort Verde State
Historic Park. It is also the site of Cliff Castle Casino, operated
by the Yavapai-Apache Nation Indian tribe, making it an important
gambling destination for north and central Arizona. The town also
host a famous corn festival each year. It is put on by Hauser and
Hauser Farms, which operates in Camp Verde.
Camp Verde Parks
Arturo Park: This
small park consisting of picnic tables and a playground area,
situated in a small neighborhood on Arturo Circle Cul-de-sac.
Butler Park: This
7-acre park is adjacent to Camp Verde Middle School, and consists of
soccer, football and baseball fields, volleyball, basketball and
tennis courts. It also contains playground equipment, a ramada, a
picnic area, restrooms and a concession stand.
Community Center Park: Located
behind the Town Complex on the corner of Main and Hollamon Streets,
this park consists of a soccer field, picnic and playground area.
Rezzonico Family Park
This is a acre park located on Pecan Ln at the black bridge.
Currently this park has picnic seating, restrooms, & river
access.
